Our Executive Team

Working alongside our executive team are all of our

highly trained and friendly members of staff, of whom

we are immensely proud.

Graham Jones

Group Managing Director

Graham is an advocate for safety while working at heights, having come from a telecommunications business that climbs masts and tower structures.

During his early days as a telecom's rigger back in the 90's, Graham recollects that there was a lot of free climbing in the telecom's industry and no real safety while climbing towers. Engineers would wear a harness but would generally only clip on for work positioning. It was only later that rules started to come in and safety systems such as clip on and clip off were introduced.

Graham says, 'I am so glad the industry changed to a much safer one. Reflecting back to those days, I do wonder how more people never got hurt, including myself. The training engineers have to go through now is very comprehensive, and without it, they simply cannot work. Along with the wonderful and innovative safety systems that are on the market, this is absolutely amazing. I believe we should all have the ability to stay safe while at height and, at the end of the day, go home to our family and loved ones!'

In 2014, Graham, with the help of his lead training manager Gary Denton, started TRS Safety training. TRS Safety is a safety at heights training centre that complements Graham's other structural steel and antenna manufacturing business', allowing comprehensive training to not only his own staff but to that of the wider industry.

Offering a complete training solution for working at height, rooftop safety, rope access, access platform rescue, crane rescue, and first aid, the business has gone from strength to strength and has trained over 7000 candidates since inception.

Even though Graham has multiple companies to run, he still makes time to go out onsite and still loves every minute of it, even when the work is hard and gruelling, helping the engineers, meeting customers and end users, as well as helping to train new candidates on the job.

In his spare time (when he is not working), Graham likes to go out travelling on his motorcycle or spend a few hours clay shooting with friends at the local shooting ground. As well as weight training and general fitness, he likes going caravanning and spending valuable time with his young family.

Carla Cioffi

Company Director

Carla, who comes from Italian heritage, is also Graham's better half (as he says it).

Over the years, Carla has seen big changes in safety in industry, including the vast differences in how working at height is carried out in various industries and the ingenious systems that have been designed along the way.

In the platform business, for example, although the machines have little change in their external looks, the systems that control them have changed immensely. From sensing nearby obstacles to wind detection, the systems on the newer machines are always evolving.

Carla's day-to-day involves heavily business marketing and sales progression, as well as investigating the new safety systems on the newer machines in the market and identifying the safest systems we want to hire.

Carla has owned numerous businesses in the past, and growing up in her early years, she was qualified as a hairdresser, progressing to be a senior colorist certified by Wella and owning her own business as a young entrepreneur.

In her spare time (not that she has much due to their young children), Carla likes to engage in a regular fitness regime, mainly cardio with some lighter weights, as well as going caravanning with her young family and the extended family who also go. She also loves shooting at the local clay ground (although not as much as Graham, especially in the colder weather), and she also has a passion for crystal healing and holistic therapies.

Gary Denton

Working at Heights Training Director

Gary has vast experience when it comes to all types of safety and coaching. Since leaving the armed forces, he has dedicated decades to different industries and sports, including coaching and safety.

Gary has decades of experience working in the field as a telecom's engineer to gain first-hand knowledge and training various courses in safety at heights for the telecom's industry; he has taught water rescue to various fire services, regularly travels to the Channel Islands to train engineers, has been a senior canoeing coach, a lead mountaineer, and continues to be an avid fitness fan, completing numerous marathons and events.

In his spare time, as well as the sports he is involved in, Gary likes to travel, go walking on long trails, go camping, and spend time with his grandchildren.

Angela Jones

Group Financial Controller

Angela started her career as an astute business owner, selling her half share of the business after over 20 years in a role as a company director.

She purchased a property in Cyprus with a view to retiring young and lived out there for a while.

However, after not feeling fulfilled and missing family, especially now that she has smaller grandchildren, Angela decided to return to the UK. She has always had a passion for the accounting side of her previous business, so she decided to train as an accountant to keep herself busy as well as look after the growing number of grandchildren.

After passing her exams 20+ years ago, she set up a small business helping local small business owners complete their tax returns, and she still does this even to this day, sometimes working until very late at night!

Angela came into the business in 2018 after the retirement of our previous financial controller.

Incredible Team Goes Above and Beyond. We required equipment at very short notice due to a breakdown onsite, and I must say I was very impressed by their attitude and willingness to help.
